I want to know the final goal of acBTC.

For acBTC, the metric is simply the amount of acBTC minted on Ethereum. Our goal for this year is 2,000 acBTC.

Our mid-term goal is to roll out the best swap, cross-chain swap and lending application. IE. acSwap, xcSwap and acLoan.

Our long term goal for acBTC is to become the most usable form of Bitcoin on Ethereum.

The metric we will use to measure our success and goal is the number of acBTC minted on Ethereum.

Recently, there was a hacking incident on the Harvestst platform, which led to the loss of investors' capital. Does Acbtc have a contingency plan for this hack?

Any promise on an unhackable or unbreachable codebase is not realistic at this stage of blockchain development.

Obviously, security is our highest priority as we are dealing with user’s assets.

Hence, we have established a long-term partnership with SECBIT Labs when we first started building the NUTS Platform.

SECBIT Labs is reputable security auditing firm in the Blockchain and DeFi space and they have been very supportive throughout the entire development process.

In addition, we pay extremely close attention to new vulnerabilities and attacks incurred by other projects in the space.

We closely examined the Harvest incident and reiterated the issues could not be replicated within the acBTC ecosystem.

Currently, coins such as rencrv, wbtc, and renbtc are listed on Acbtc's platform. Don't you have any plans to increase the number of coins?

First of all, renCRV was used for the Big Blind Pool where users can stake renCRV to earn dual rewards in AC and renCRV.

The Big Blind Pool was migrated to the HODLER Pool where the staked renCRV tokens were used to mint acBTC.

We selected WBTC and renBTC to start with because of 2 reasons:

1/ Number of minted ERC20 BTC on Ethereum. WBTC has roughly 100k, renBTC has roughly 30k. This means market participants have already recognized them as a credible way to bridge native BTC onto Ethereum.

2/ Both WBTC and renBTC are 1:1 backed by native BTC.

If there is another ERC20 BTC which the market recognizes and is backed 1:1 by native BTC.  Our community governors can submit a proposal to add it to the acBTC composite basket.

Let’s focus on the value proposition of acBTC for this question. The acBTC ecosystem is a collection of protocols/applications, including acSwap, acYield, xcSwap, acLoan.

acSwap = users can swap between ERC20 BTC at minimal slippage and reduced transaction fees. Example: a user holding WBTC can swap into renBTC at minimum slippage (depending on order size) and competitive transaction costs (currently 0.04% for Curve, 0.02% for acSwap).

acYield = an auto asset allocation protocol to help ERC20 BTC holders optimize returns on their ERC20 BTC holdings. Example: a user holding WBTC can deposit WBTC into acYield to generate the best possible return. The return is generated by allocating user’s assets across different DeFi protocols and liquidity mining pools.

xcSwap = a cross-chain swap solution, enabling the exchange between native BTC and ERC20 BTC. Example: a user holding native BTC can exchange for acBTC or any other forms of ERC20 BTC with xcSwap in a secure and non-custodial way.

acLoan = a hybrid loan/option application, enabling users to borrow/lend by using acBTC as a more efficient form of collateral asset. Example: Borrowers can pledge acBTC at a LTV ratio according to their prediction on short-term price outlook of Bitcoin.

In short, acBTC is an ecosystem designed to provide the maximum security and usability for native BTC and ERC20 BTC holders.

We are focused on building acBTC. Making it the most usable form of Bitcoin on the Ethereum network.

As we mentioned earlier, acBTC ecosystem includes acSwap, acYield, acLoan and xcSwap.

acSwap was launched on October 25. So now our focus is to promote the acSwap application to increase usage. And at the same time we are building the acYield application.

acYield can help ERC20 BTC holders optimize return on their ERC20 BTC holdings. xcSwap will be launched at the end of this year. In terms of the timeline for acLoan, we are aiming to launch the acLoan application in Q2 2021.

acBTC is based on Nuts finance. Why is the name Nuts Finance?

The name NUTS Finance is actually derived from the common saying, nuts and bolts. Meaning, we aim to be the nuts and bolts to the open finance world. NUTS Finance's mission is to build cool products by leveraging blockchain technology to improve efficiency of the traditional financial services workflow. In terms of acBTC, AC is derived from ACoconut. Which is a play-on word from Account which is a function also represented by ledger.

NUTS Finance is the development DAO behind acBTC. acBTC is our first product targeting the retail crypto market. Once acBTC gets to a sustainable stage, we will build other projects. So the relationship between acBTC and NUTS Finance is acBTC is a standalone project, NUTS finance is the development entity behind it.

What is the revenue model for acBTC project?

The business model is the fees collected from various applications.

acSwap has a swap transaction fee, acLoan has interest fees, xcSwap has an exchange fee.

A portion of the fees collected will be distributed to Liquidity Providers and acBTC holders. The remaining fees will go to the AC Treasury Vault for continuous project development purposes.

What's the reason for migrating the Big Blind Pool to a new liquidity mining pool?

This pool was designed to attract liquidity from Curve Pool's 5 to help us bootstrap our acSwap application (WBTC, renBTC liquidity). Big Blind lasted for almost 3 weeks, it ended on 10/23. Went through a migration and the staked renCRV was converted into acBTC helped bootstrap the acSwap application.

The value capture for HODLER is the swap fee application. Right now you can stake acBTC to earn AC + acBTC (collected from acSwap application fees, including redeem fee and swap fee now). For those who missed out on Big Blind, you can still participate in HODLER.
