No, no special experience is required, especially now that we are still running the beta version and only implementing some features of the game. The space and sci-fi thematics should not concern users, they basically just create the setting and immerse players in specific scenarios. As soon as you play a few games, you get used to the designs around you and you don’t at all feel awkward inside the game.

SIDUS HEROES is among the first companies to build a metaverse — a complex socio-economic system where users can invest, spend and earn a profit, regardless of their initial goals.  

Some people come for the Play-to-Earn opportunities that are relatively new to the gaming world, though they are spreading rapidly. There are people who might not want to play at all, who are only willing to invest in the project and there are multiple options for them to do so.

To be able to provide all these options, SIDUS HEROES is forming a complex and interconnected ecosystem of products that are all integrated into the gameplay, such as:

• a game
• a marketplace
• a launchpad

These products guarantee multiple utility scenarios for SIDUS HEROES tokens and support market demand for them, thereby supporting their price. And stable price dynamics for in-game tokens incentivizes users to participate in the in-game profit earning activities. 

In our project we also actively utilize NFT as the main format for all our in-game items. For instance, the very first collection of Heroes that we issued almost a year ago (which has a separate artistic value), weapons, resources and anything you can imagine that is used inside the game. This format allows us to make all the assets a player earns throughout the game tradable on our internal market and on other secondary markets. 

A very important requirement for a game to be a metaverse is easy access for as many players in the world as possible. SIDUS HEROES chose one of the most difficult ways to ensure this by implementing WebGL as its main visualizing technology. This technology allows developers to create a browser game that does not require the use of special devices or software, like a mobile or console device. At the same time, it delivers a high-resolution AR and VR experience to people in ANY part of the world – be it Europe, America, Asia, Africa — you name it.

A metaverse replicates real-life roles but in an ultimately fair, democratic way, empowering ANY user to climb to the top of the social structure where they can actually influence the development of the project and the metaverse. SIDUS HEROES features complex social relationships between players, offering different professions that reach as high as the President, a position that is subject to winning an election. And this is exactly what Web 3.0 is all about — duplicating your life in a digital space.

Could you share with me what SIDUS HEROES’ recent  achievements are and your plans for the next 1-3 years?

In January 2022, we first launched the closed beta and later the public beta test of the game. Right now, we are collecting users’ feedback, which will be used for further game development and improvement. As for our plans for the rest of 2022, we will be gradually expanding the gaming metaverse by introducing new scenarios and features. Players will get more and more gaming and earning opportunities and of course, we plan to listen to our community, to meet their needs and fix any problems we encounter as we continue to work on the project. 

The key goals we have set for ourselves are:

• To improve the combat system.

• To implement a blockchain ratings system. 

• To introduce professions into the game.

• To hold a presale for exclusive limited content: customized images, Space Shuttles, customized gear, etc.

• To expand the universe: introduce new races and professions, create local arenas. 

• To launch the mobile version. 

• To release a launchpad that provides users with the opportunity to raise funds for their in-game projects.

• To prepare the infrastructure for multi-chain functionality.

• To localize the game in 11 languages.

Why are there 2 different tokens, the SIDUS & SENATE and what are their roles and use-cases in the SIDUS HEROES ecosystem?

The SIDUS team decided to have a two-token system so as to separate the different segments of players at the token level. Those who are truly invested in the game (in terms of time and energy) will have the SENATE token to express their opinion. SENATE will be also used to purchase items like plots of land, Space Shuttles and Station modules. Owners of these types of property will have a lot of influence in the community, so we want to make sure these items are in good hands.

The SIDUS token, by contrast, is an in-game token and will be widely used by people who are mostly interested in farming and speculating on the price growth. We thought it'd be wrong to mix SIDUS’ different audience segments and so decided to introduce two tokens.

SIDUS HEROES also encourages the broad utilization of its native tokens (even outside the game) to incentivize and reward players for the time and energy they spend playing. In the future, SIDUS HEROES plans on launching DeFi products and a launchpad. Players will have the chance to participate in the token sales of other projects, according to their advancement within the game.

So, to sum all this up, the SENATE token will mainly be used for: 

– Creating factions and participating in votes that determine how factions are managed.

– Taking part in votes regarding the game development processes, the purchase of game items, etc.

– Purchasing Space Shuttles, modules for the Space Station and land plots (which is not possible with the SIDUS token).

And the SIDUS token is the main in-game currency that enables players to purchase:

SIDUS HEROES provides users with multiple gaming scenarios to suit all tastes and needs: interstellar exploration, battles, settlements and there is plenty of scope for political, social and economic development.

Players can be farmers and grinders who mine and collect resources to sell in the marketplace for coins. Or they can choose to master a profession and become a skilled manufacturer who crafts equipment (like Space Shuttles) and the components for them (e.g. ammunition, weapons and medicine) so they can sell their manufactured products to fighters. 

One of the key elements of the game is the Battle Arena, where users can challenge other players, form fighting legions and compete in tournaments. A career in fighting helps players to get elected and command legions in massive battles.

Players can choose to pursue what they’re passionate about and master that profession. For instance, they can become scientists who explore new technologies and discover new resources so they can figure out how to modernize life in the universe.

SIDUS HEROES is also building a political system. Players can become ministers and councilors who represent their race and lobby their interests. We even have the position of President.

The project has 3 stages of development called economic loops. Going through each loop, players develop their Heroes' functionality and features. It takes years to go through all the economic loops, master a profession, purchase land and build well-functioning infrastructure on it.

Our ultimate goal is to lower the boundaries for the blockchain users and attract as many new players as possible. The industry is now changing quickly, yet not quickly enough to finally take over the conventional approach to internet solutions. The reason here is the complexity of blockchain technology, which frightens many people, even though they might be very experienced users.

The key attributes that make the project stand out are:

1. The use of WebGL technology in the platform's architecture makes the SIDUS game available to a large audience. The SIDUS HEROES gaming graphics engine is built on Babylon.js, a JavaScript cross-browser framework that uses WebGL APIs. The SIDUS team uses the capabilities of the framework to the max and couples it with uniquely designed material and multi-stage cross-software pipelines for creating models. All this tech enables unmatched HD rendering quality within compatible web browsers. So to start playing, users don't need to download any applications onto their PCs or phones. The game is available through a browser and is restored on entry using the metadata stored on players’ NFTs.

2. A closed economic system based on a limited emission of resources. The metaverse relies on non-renewable fossils and renewable biological resources that play a part in the development of the advanced production structure. Users can mine resources, master a profession and craft goods that can later be sold at the in-game marketplace. 

We hope that the solutions we’ve chosen to use within our project will help us reach the goals we have set for ourselves.

No, we are not targeting any specific countries, SIDUS HEROES is completely global and beyond any borders. We feature the English language in the game for obvious reasons, since this is the most popular language but we have plans of localizing the website in more languages for users’ convenience.

 

We know that some of our players are using VPN services to access the game and besides being able to enter the game, you need to have access to crypto services, which might also be banned in your country. So here, unfortunately, I cannot give any advice. Do your own research and determine the risks.

The game features two tokens: $SIDUS and $SENATE. For these native tokens of the project, the vesting period is from 10 to 96 months. Having dual tokenomics gives us the opportunity to share the benefits of the tokens and thereby maintain their market value. If necessary, we will introduce new use cases for them. All in-game transactions will be carried out using native tokens.

 

At the moment, we have quite a good provision of liquidity. But in order to maintain a high volume of economic relations between the players, we are offering different interaction scenarios. In addition to gaming transactions, the SIDUS ecosystem provides a marketplace for trading in-game items and Heroes. In the future, we plan to offer a launchpad, the main condition for using it will be the use of native tokens and investors will be incentivized with additional bonuses. This means that even if you are not a player and do not trade gaming NFTs, if you are an investor and just want to invest in some new project that has nothing to do with SIDUS, you can do so by purchasing tokens from our ecosystem. And of course, we practice buyback-and-burn, this is a healthy practice for crypto projects.

We have 2,000 active beta testers and we are already running a Leaderboard to reward the most active testers. We also have a vast community of token holders and project followers on social media: Twitter, Discord, Reddit, Telegram. These groups are there to support anyone who is somehow related to the project. There, you can find managers and experienced players. We regularly hold AMA sessions, like this one, to update users on the progress of the platform. I strongly recommend that everyone join the community and consider becoming an investor or a player (or both) in the future.
