Why should I have a polen token? Please let me know the reason for holding.

A1. 

Our Pollen governance token has two main functions. 

1. Allow users to actively manage a portfolio on the platform and, if they make good decisions, to earn $PLN as rewards. If they make bad decisions, $PLN can be burned.

2. Allow passive delegators to delegate their governance tokens to the best performing traders and share $PLN tokens as rewards for good decisions made.

As new portfolios and indexes are created on the protocol, more and more $PLN is staked into the ecosystem. For example, a popular trader from Twitter or a community leader from YouTube completes the governance process to create a new ‘GameFi’ portfolio and associated index token on Pollen. Now a new audience of users stake their $PLN tokens to be able to access the portfolio, either to manage it themselves, or to passively delegate to one of the best traders on the leaderboard.

Users of Pollen can earn $PLN as rewards for making good decisions — in either managing the portfolio successfully, or delegating to a trader on the leaderboard that does make good decisions. The flipside, when traders make bad decisions, $PLN is burned.

Pollen DeFi is unique in that it is a DeFi that uses collective intelligence. Can you explain a bit more about this?

Pollen is a community driven platform. The community creates and manages the portfolios and associated indexes.

It is the sharing of alpha and strategies by the community that drives the success of the indexes. The hivemind is how we describe this co-operation for mutual gain.

DeFi is still new, but I think you're already talking about the next generation or 2.0 DeFi. So, are you already using this new term? What are the characteristic factors that make the contrast between DeFi and the next generation of DeFi as we know it?

When we say we’re a next generation asset management protocol, that is because we plan to be the first truly decentralised asset management tool, where every member of the community actually contributes to how assets are allocated. Soon there will be a video available where you can really see how easy our platform is to use. We’ve made the user interface as friendly as possible, and we believe that is where some of the first generation DeFi products fell short. The innovation was unbelievable, but the accessibility and interface just didn’t live up to the quality of the product. We have prioritised both our product and our interface, to ensure the most enjoyable experience on our platform possible.

Pollen's DAO states that it provides a reputation-based governance protocol. So, how do you build a reputation? 

The PLN token is stated to exist on the Ethereum chain. According to the listing, it will be charged to the Ethereum chain. If so, why did you choose to be based on Ethereum?

Pollenators/active asset pool managers earn reputation based on their previous performance of managing a portfolio on our platform. Reputation is our base level performance indicator of a Pollenator's profit and loss. We measure this on percentage, and not on total return. This way we ensure that smaller members of the HiveMind are able to climb the leaderboard and earn a higher share of $PLN rewards, rather than reserving that right for $PLN whales.

Our reputation then works as an indicator for our delegators, making it easier for them to see who they should be staking their $PLN tokens with.

Pollen DeFi will not be launching on the Ethereum chain, we will be launching on the Avalanche chain, but more about that later :D

I want know the reason why pollen defi deploying into avalanche chain.

Pollen DeFi announced last week that we would be launching on AVAX chain, and really, the decision was driven by the community. With gas fees on Ethereum being out of this world, we put the question to our community. And they responded, and said they would like to deploy on the Avalanche network!

Just going by the response we've had from the Avalanche community, it is fair to say that we made a good decision! They have welcomed us with open arms 

Avalanche is a rapidly growing network, with an evergrowing amount of TVL. Combined with the fact that this makes life better for our community, we are super excited to be launching on Avalanche!

I tried to join the whitelist, but it is currently closed. No additional whitelisting? When will the Pollen Platform Beta Test?

Our whitelisting option was available earlier in the year, when we were looking for people who would be willing to test out our beta version of the protocol. Unfortunately the opportunity to be whitelisted has now closed. Anyone who took part in our pre-IDO raise on Launchpool will also be whitelisted to take part in the Pollen DeFi beta.

The beta will be available sometime in Q1 of 2022, obviously before the mainnet goes live.

Will the governance/voting power of users depend on the amount of Pollen tokens held by users or other factors that will determine the governance/voting power of users?

The amount of governance power that users of our platform possess does depend on the amount of $PLN that they own, but that is not the only thing contributing to the level of governance. As we mentioned before, traders are given a reputation score based on their individual performance. This reputation score not only helps us rank these traders, but it also plays a role in our algorithm when we decide how much weight their submission will hold when it comes to the final allocation of assets.

Traders will also be able to possess more governance rights based on the amount of $PLN tokens that are delegated to them by our more passive users.

There are 3 objects in Pollen ecosystem: Traders, Delegators and Communities (DAO), could you tell me roles and right in each object on Pollen platform? Are there any priority for each object?

Of course, this is maybe the best part of what we’re building at Pollen, the community! Our traders will be able to reallocate assets held within an asset pool, with a view of that allocation being how they see the market best performing. Based on those allocations they submit to our protocol, we give traders a reputation score. This, combined with the amount of Pollen that they hold indicates how much weight their submission will hold when it comes to the final distribution of assets in the pool.

Our delegators can then log on to the protocol, and instead of wanting to play with the asset allocation themselves, they can take a look at our leaderboard, which ranks our traders based on their performance and reputation score. These users can then choose to delegate their $PLN to the best traders on the platform, and will earn $PLN tokens for simply doing so! This in turn then means that those traders have more Pollen behind their desired allocation, making the weight of their submission even stronger! Traders will then share a fraction of those rewards that delegators have earned for providing their Pollen!

Soon after we launch our mainnet, communities will be able to set up their own asset pools and add assets in there to their desire. Our goal at Pollen is to facilitate a bunch of different communities being able to take control of their own investments, and being able to share that feeling with others at the same time – whilst ensuring complete decentralization.

Forming groups is advantageous because it means you have a team of users collecting alpha together, rather than trying to manage your investments on your own!

We are currently holding an IDO on Roco Finance's platform, where you will need 500 $ROCO to take register. This closes at 2pm UTC on 15th December (Today!!). You will need to KYC and then complete the steps of the process that the website will take you through.

Could you tell me how delegation model on Pollen work?

To be able to delegate on our platform, all users need to do is simply connect their Web3 wallet to the dApp, take a look at our leaderboard, and simply stake the amount of Pollen with that particular trader. Traders are ranked on reputation score, which is a base level indicator of profit and loss of the portfolio, being calculated from when the allocation was submitted vs when it was closed.

Delegators are incentivesed with $PLN to pay out to the best performing traders. You will share a fraction of your rewards with the trader, but also, if the trader loses money, you will also have to pay part of the penalty. So choose wisely!

저희 플랫폼에서 위임할 수 있으려면 모든 사용자가 Web3 지갑을 dApp에 연결하고 리더보드를 살펴보고 특정 거래자와 함께 Pollen의 양을 스테이킹하기만 하면 됩니다. 거래자는 포트폴리오의 손익에 대한 기본 수준 지표인 평판 점수에 따라 순위가 매겨지며 할당이 제출된 시점과 마감된 시점을 기준으로 계산됩니다.
