1. User experience: This is not talked about enough in the crypto and NFT space. Glimpse is a social media network, and not just an NFT marketplace. We don't have the liberty of assuming our users even know what a gas fee is. This is why everything from the design of our UI to the implementation of the Gasless (GSN) network was created with your everyday user in mind. Successful NFT marketplaces might have millions of users, successful social media networks have hundreds of million and up to BILLIONS of users. This is only possible if the barrier of entry is minimal, and the platform provides value that can't be found elsewhere. 

2. Uniqueness: Going off the last sentence above - what we are building at Glimpse does not currently exist in the NFT space. Sure, plenty of marketplaces doing different versions of digital art/assets. But no one has really tried to tackle the tokenization of live videos or figure out a way to monetize a stars user base in a way other than traditional ad revenue (which is minimal for the content creators). Glimpse is going to be the first social network that incorporates NFT's and DeFi - while maintaining all the social media features that users love.

3. Power to the Creators: Glimpse will be taking just a 5% sellers fee on the sale of NFT's - meaning the content creator captures 95% of the value they create! This is in stark contrast to traditional social media sites, where a content creator with millions of followers still only earns a very small portion of ad revenue and has limited opportunities to monetize their fan base. 

Content creators can also apply a royalty to their NFT's, so they can continue to earn on resales in the secondary marketplace.

Most traditional NFT marketplaces are for fans to purchase creator-issued NFTs, which, in contrast, allow anyone to upload and trade short videos of less than 60 seconds, Glimpse felt that NFT was no longer just a celebrity, creator and fan deal, but also a broader market. I am curious about the role and vision of the NFT market that Glimpse specifically aims for.

기존의 NFT 마켓 플레이스가 크리에이터가 발행한 NFT를 팬들이 구매하는것이 대부분인데, Glimpse는 이와 다르게 누구나 60초 미만의 짧은 동영상을 업로드하고 거래할 수 있도록 한다는 점에서 Glimpse는 NFT가 더이상 단순한 유명인이나 크리에이터와 팬사이의 거래 뿐만 아니라 더 폭넓은 시장으로 나가아가는 것을 목표로 한다고 느껴졌습니다. Glimpse가 구체적으로 목표로하는 NFT시장에서의 역할과 비전이 궁금합니다.

We are in the very early stages of NFT adoption. Digital art and collectibles is only a starting point, and there are so many potential use cases that have yet to be implemented or even explored. The NFT space is the internet in the early 2000’s, everybody knew it was going to change the world by no one could have predicted the use cases and utility that it has today. We are in the very early stages, and Glimpse is excited to be a part of pushing NFT adoption by creating a fair and transparent revenue stream for content creators across the globe.

Glimpse cuts out the greedy middlemen such as Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram who take the vast majority of the value content creators provide and provide zero monetization options for fans/followers. Today, when someone with a large following uploads their video to social media, they lose out on potential revenue. The big guys make the money and the creative content makers are lucky to collect any ad revenue at all. With Glimpse, this same content can be uploaded and tokenized into an NFT, and sold to a fan as both a digitally unique and real world unique video. Glimpse allows the content creator to capture 95% of the value they create, as we only collect a 5% seller fee - while creating a more intimate connection between the creator and their fan base!

How can you attract people to use your platform to monetize their content? And for those of people who want to create and buy NFT, gas fee is one of the consideration to use platform. Which blockchain are you built on? How do you solve this gas fee problem?

Our mission is to cut out the greedy middlemen such as Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram who take the vast majority of the value content creators provide and provide zero monetization options for fans/followers. Content creators are finding it harder and harder to monetize their base using these platforms - so we are flipping the revenue model and fairly rewarding creators for the content they create/sell. As a quick example, I'll use our signed content creator, Chris Barnett! With over 5MM TikTok followers, he garners a lot of views on a daily basis. His base is constantly looking for ways to connect with him and have previously purchased merchandise and subscriptions on sites such as brand army.

With Glimpse, Chris can upload a creative video (as he always does) and sell it to one fan as an NFT! This creates a more intimate connection with this fan, and also monetizes the content Chris creates - rather than simply posting it for free on TikTok/Instagram.

About minting & gas fees: yes, there will be a fee associated with the minting of the NFT. Very importantly though, as a social media network targeted to the masses, we will be using the gasless GSN network so no user needs to hold ETH in their account to mint NFT's or pay for gas fees - all of this is taken care of on the backend!

This greatly lowers the barrier of entry for Glimpse compared to other NFT platforms!
