I want to know about the overall business plan and listing plan. I wonder if there are any plans for De-fi & NFT as well.

HOPR is open to any sort of applications. I'm happy to see increasing demand for privacy in DeFi and there is a lot of attention on on-chain privacy. However, you are still leaking the fact THAT you are using a specific service and are exposing your IP address. E.g. your internet service provider learns about the fact that you are using Ethereum, they also know if you are opening a website such as tornado.cash. That is a problem because the on-chain private DeFi application is now leaking on the network layer. We are currently working on the technical foundation of HOPR before onboarding all these use cases but I hope later on this year we will see first DeFi and NFT usecases on top of HOPR.

I want to know lock up months.

The team is locked up for a total of 4 years and we do not get any tokens for the first 12 months after launch. The early investors such as Binance have 2 years lockup and do not get any tokens for another 6 months, so there is no incoming supply shock any time soon. Q6. 

Attempts to protect personal information by classifying metadata and data seem reasonable. I think it will be possible to protect personal information in this way and use it for medical purposes in hospitals and other places. Would you be interested in collaborating with existing medical coins such as solve.care or medibloc?

We are very interested in working with other projects in the medtech space. We think that space specifically is very much under-served as - unfortunately - digitalization in the medtech space is only just beginning. Q7. 

I know that Hopr is trying to protect personal information. If you look at medium, there are many different terms. xHOPR, wxHOPR, and HOPR are described in terms of various kinds of tokens and their relationships. By the way, from my point of view, this part is too difficult, so could you give me an example to make it easier to understand? 

개인정보보호를 위해서 HOPR가 노력하고 있는 것을 알고 있습니다. Medium을 보면 다양한 용어가 나오는데요. xHOPR, wxHOPR, HOPR까지 다양한 종류의 토큰과 그 토큰들과의 관계에 대해서 기술되어 있습니다. 그런데, 제 입장에서는 이 부분이 너무 어려워서 알기 쉽게 예를 들어 설명해주실 수 있을까요?

I agree, the 3 different tokens make it a little harder than what should be necessary, sorry for that! The reason for these 3 tokens are unfortunately gas fees on main net Ethereum. On the one hand, main net Ethereum is by far the most trustworthy and battle tested ecosystem, so there really is no alternative to launch our token there. That is the HOPR token. On the other hand, we do see that for most of our community members we need a cheaper solution TODAY - that is where the xDAI blockchain comes in. In order to cross the two chains we utilize the xDAI omnibridge. This bridge creates a token automatically and that's what we call xHOPR token which you can also trade e.g. on Honeyswap: https://info.honeyswap.org/pair/0x429105909cd3f5e9a1010849e3fa76092d97c9f9

Unfortunately, that automatically deployed xHOPR token is not compliant with the standard that the HOPR protocol implementation requires (ERC777) therefore we had to wrap xHOPR into wxHOPR which is the function version that you can use for the HOPR protocol. Luckily, all these bridges and wrappres work withou our involvement - all of that is trustless infrastructure that the public Ethereum blockhcain (and the xDAI side chain) provide for you!

Q8. 

Many projects based on Ethereum have recently moved to different chains. We're either moving to a chain like magic or BSC, or adding that chain. This is due to Ethereum's murderous fee. Hopr is an etherithum-based project and doesn't even seem to have a mainnet scheduled. Aren't you considering expanding to another chain? There are too many Ethereum fees, but I want to know if there are alternatives for HOPR users.

Actually we are actively using the xDAI blockchain for our Jungfrau release. That is an early functional release that you can use together with the HOPR token - since you are not on main net Ethereum (to make fees 10000x cheaper!) you have to use the wxHOPR token but it works in the same way as main net Ethereum. xDAI is more decentralized than BSC and has way more transparent bridges. In addition, we have been running HOPR testnets on xDAI which worked great and our BSC testnet in January was crashing the chain within only one hour!

It seems that governance is achieved through decengov. What I'm curious about is that decengov itself is based on the Swiss Association. What does this swiss association specifically mean?

An Association is the simples form of legal entity that you can have in Switzerland. It is used e.g. by local hobby soccer clubs but also by larger organizations. In contrast to share corporations or LLCs, it is however very flexible in their forms of governance. While share corporations have fairly strict limitations on what you can and cannot do, we structured HOPR Association such that you can become a member of the HOPR Association and then vote with your HOPR tokens in the general assembly. We see a lot of projects that are all about "decentralization" but then decisions are made by two guys behind closed doors. At HOPR we want to be different. We want our community to be truly in charge. We achieved that already from the launch with our HOPR Genesis DAO where our 3344 testnet participants were deciding on the token launch model (which I personally did not even like but we let the community be in charge anyway!). With HOPR we want to contribute to the future of organizations and work in general - the future belongs to DAOs!

Thank you! I am personally a huge fan of DAOs since TheDAO in 2016 - I was even happy when it failed because we leared so much from it. The HOPR Genesis DAO was a first DAO that only had the purpose of bootstrapping the launch. It comprises all testnet participants who provided an Ethereum address (3344 in total). Over the course of 2021 we are however aiming higher: We want a token governance for the HOPR protocol (for technical parameters) and also a voting of our general assembly to happen via a token voting scheme still in 2021. To that end, the HOPR Genesis DAO was a very risky experiment but we are immensely happy with the outcome: Over 50% of participants voted on the final proposal - and while it was not the one that I personally wanted - it showed how a community-based governance can really be bootstrapped,
